Why a merch store?
We have big plans for Chromiecraft in 2024. Wanting to expand our footprint, get more people involved in the server (both in terms of players and technical staff), running a server isn’t cheap. Just to get an idea, our current server setup costs us just shy of €5000 a year (only the game server) what we renewed last year for a further two years. Allowing us to raise more funds enables us to push out more marketing and look to introduce new systems to replace Bountysource which has been taken down. This will also enable us to start paying out bonuses for complex fixes again once we have designed such a system.
This also enables us to remain true to our goal of no pay to win, no sold player power, gear, boosts or anything of the like. In line with our requirement as a registered non-profit organisation, 100% of all money earnt via our store is reinvested into the server and as always, not a single cent is taken out by the admin team.
Its also some pretty sweet merch as well for you all to enjoy! We hope to expand our offering on the store in the coming months should this prove popular enough.
