Dev Diary #14 – Echoes of the Spellweaver

Greetings, Time-Travelers!

It’s that time once more to sit down together and speak about the recent and upcoming developments on our server. First and foremost, a sincere thank you to everyone who has been testing and reporting issues related to the latest QAston proc system. We admittedly had a somewhat turbulent start, but thanks to your persistence and detailed feedback, we are steadily reaching solid ground. Your reports make an enormous difference, and we are grateful for the time and care you invest in helping us refine the experience. Now then — let us turn our gaze to what lies ahead.

Eye of Eternity & Obsidian Sanctum

Considerable work has gone into both The Eye of Eternity and The Obsidian Sanctum. After extensive iteration and internal testing, we are confident that both encounters are nearing release readiness. We are pleased to confirm the official release dates:

The Eye of Eternity — March 18th

The Obsidian Sanctum — April 15th

We wanted to provide you with advance notice so you may plan and prepare accordingly. We look forward to seeing you take on these challenges. As always, we encourage you to test thoroughly and report anything out of the ordinary. Every log, observation, and report helps us polish these encounters to the standard we strive for.

Ulduar

With the plans for the remaining T7 raids accounted for, we find ourselves in a position to begin structured testing of Ulduar.

Foundational work has already begun, but a great deal remains to be done. Ulduar is no small undertaking, and its complexity demands careful attention.

We invite you to rally your guilds, muster your forces, and venture forth into its halls. As reports arrive, we stand ready to deploy fixes and refinements promptly. The sooner the feedback comes in, the faster we can iterate.

Refer-a-Friend Update

A brief update regarding Refer-a-Friend: You may now participate in the programme with members of your household, including family and housemates. Connecting from the same network will not automatically remove you from the programme. However, please note:

  • Recruiter rewards will be invalidated if accounts are found to be sharing the same network.
  • Teleport benefits remain active.
  • Rested experience (up to the cap) remains unaffected.

We hope this change makes it easier for those playing under the same roof to journey together across Azeroth.

That concludes this edition of the Developer Diary.

Once again, thank you for your continued support, your meticulous testing, and your unwavering commitment to improving the project. Please continue to report any issues you encounter so we may address them in a timely manner.

Keep up the excellent work — and we shall see you in Azeroth!
