Wrath Pre-Patch – 27th August

Dear Time Travelers,

We hope you are all having a brilliant summer (or an alright winter for our players down under). With Wrath on the horizon now, we are pleased to announce that our pre-northrend (Knights of Acherus) patch will go live on the 27th August following the weekly restart. The Scourge Invasion will be in full swing, minus the Zombie Plagues which unfortunately we just do not have enough data to properly script these into the core. That isn’t all that’s coming, with a lot of TBC specific changes being rolled back, Arena Season 4 coming to an end (with immediate discounts and new gear for honor) and our own version of Joyous Journeys experience boost to help you prepare for Northrend as well as a returning player boost! We have prepared a list of all these changes coming in below:

• Scourge Invasion – get your Arcanite Ripper and help the Argent Dawn deal with the latest Scourge attack!
  
• Joyous Journeys – during the pre-patch EXP is being boosted by 50%! Reputation gains are being increased by 10% gained for all non-Insane in the Membrane related reputations.
  
• Scroll of Resurrection – if you haven’t logged in for 60 days onto your account, you will automatically have permanent rested XP, effective past level 1 and lasts 30 days. This can be disabled by using the command .rscroll restedxp off should you not want this benefit on your characters.
  
• Arena Season 4 & PvP gearing – Arena Season 4 will come to an end on the 27th August. Discounted gear will be available with the usual off-season discount. Arena Season 3 gear will be available for honor and this includes the DK PvP sets as well.
  
• Flying changes – Whilst previously voted by the community to keep flying at level 70 during TBC, this will be rolled back now so that characters can purchase expert riding at level 60 for 250g (150% speed), artisan riding at level 70 for 5000g (280/310%). Cold Weather Flying will be needed to fly in Northrend and is available at level 77 for 1000g and is account bound, meaning your alts can learn this also.

As per our progression plans, Northrend is coming in Autumn (northern hemisphere) this year and characters will be able to level straight to level 80. We also know the community has a load of questions around the release of Northrend with quite a lot of our custom changes being removed what we will aim to cover.
